Cardrona leads the way in New Zealand for child and family friendly resorts.  Cardrona Nursery and Kindy provide early childhood education in purpose built facilities, for kids from 3 months to 4 years.  Ski Kindy and the Kids Ski & Snowboard School provide lessons for kids from 2 years and up.  Full day options and the much-loved Skiwees/Lowriders week-long programme for those over five are also available and are based in the Archway buildings.  Kids at heart can enjoy adults ski & snowboard school lessons and workshops.

Cardrona is the perfect place for beginners and intermediates, with easy-to-use surface lifts and plenty of wide open trails spread over three basins.  Its high elevation means fantastic natural snow, which is further enhanced by snowmaking over the whole mountain.  Advanced skiers and riders are also catered for with the chutes and the world famous Cardrona Parks, with three half pipes, including the Southern Hemisphere’s only 22’ Olympic sized half pipe.  A fourth quad chairlift the ‘Valley View’ was installed over summer 2010, adding more intermediate and advanced terrain and extending the length of many runs.
